This Privacy Policy explains how Singapore Bridge ("we", "our", or "the App") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our mobile application. By using the App you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide:
- Nickname (chosen by you on first launch)
Information collected automatically:
- Anonymous user ID generated by Firebase Authentication (no email, name, or password required)
- Game statistics: Elo rating, number of wins, number of games played
- Device type and operating system version (for crash diagnostics)
- Advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS / GAID on Android) — collected by Google AdMob to serve and personalise advertisements
2. How We Use Your Information
- To create and maintain your game profile (nickname, Elo, stats)
- To enable multiplayer matchmaking and private room functionality
- To diagnose crashes and improve app stability
- To serve advertisements through Google AdMob
3. Advertising
The App displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob. AdMob may use your device's advertising identifier to serve personalised ads based on your interests.
You can opt out of personalised advertising at any time:
- iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking → disable "Allow Apps to Request to Track"
- Android: Settings → Google → Ads → "Opt out of Ads Personalisation"

4. Third-Party Services
The App uses the following third-party services. Each has its own privacy policy governing the data it processes:
- Google Firebase (anonymous authentication, real-time database) — firebase.google.com/support/privacy
- Google AdMob (advertising) — support.google.com/admob
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only in the following circumstances:
- With Google Firebase and AdMob as described above
- If required by law or to protect the rights and safety of users
Your nickname and game statistics are visible to other players in multiplayer lobbies and rooms.
6. Data Retention
Your game profile (anonymous ID, nickname, stats) is retained for as long as you use the App. You can request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us at datadonk@gmail.com. Uninstalling the App removes locally cached data but does not automatically delete your Firebase profile.
7. Children's Privacy
The App is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
The App is not directed at children under 13 and is not designed to appeal to them.
8. Your Rights (GDPR & CCPA)
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction or deletion of your data
- Object to or restrict processing of your data
- Data portability
- Opt out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell data)

9. Security
We use Google Firebase's built-in security features to protect your data in transit and at rest. While we take reasonable precautions, no system is completely secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
